Whether you're completely new to pottery or returning to build on existing skills, our 5-week Hand Building Pottery Course offers a welcoming, creative space where you can learn, explore and create beautiful pottery by hand.

This course combines guided instruction with plenty of opportunity to develop your own ideas and creative style. Working in a small group, you'll learn essential hand-building techniques while enjoying the calming, mindful experience of working with clay.

Week 5: Glazing Session
After your pieces have been bisque fired, you'll return for a dedicated glazing session where you'll
learn how to apply glazes and finishes, bringing your work to life before its final firing.

Course Details

Location: Beldari Pottery Studio, 495 High Street Echuca.

Session Times:

Wednesdays 18:30 to 20:30

Cost: $275.00
Additional Costs: A bag of clay will get you started (10kg $22) Firing which includes studio glazes is charged at $12 per kilogram.

Duration: 5 weeks

  • Weeks 1-4 Hand Building
  • Week 5 Glazing

Ages: Suitable for ages 14 and up.

Climate Controlled Studio

Parking: There’s free on-street parking out the front, as well as around the corner in Heygarth Street.  We also have a small carpark behind the studio for your convenience.

What to Bring: A drink bottle, comfy older clothes, and your sense of fun.

Do I need experience?

No. This course is perfect for beginners and those who have done hand building before and want to build confidence, refine skills and enjoy a fun, creative return to pottery. Everything is explained in a simple, easy way.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, a water bottle and clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on. Everything else is kept simple and convenient so you can relax and enjoy being creative.

How long are the classes?

Classes run for 2 hours each week over 5 weeks. Sessions feel unrushed, supportive and fun. Tools and equipment are included. Clay and firings are not included.

How do I book?

Can I take my pieces home?

Yes. Once pieces are glazed and fired, they’re ready to be collected. Firings are charged separately, giving you flexibility and choice.

Is parking easy?

Yes. On-street parking and a small rear car park make arriving calm, easy and convenient — so you can step straight into creative, fun clay time.
