FAQs

Do I need any experience to join a Taster class?
Not at all. You can walk in with zero clay experience. Everything is explained in a simple, easy way, so you can just relax, have fun and enjoy the process. The sessions are designed as a soft introduction to pottery without the commitment to a 4 week block of classes.

What should I bring to my Taster?
Just yourself, a towel, a water bottle and a desire to have some fun. Ideally wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on. Everything else is kept simple and convenient so you can focus on feeling creative and having fun. 💡 Helpful tips: Keep nails short (as they can cut into the clay), tie back long hair, and leave bulky jewellery at home so you can fully enjoy the clay experience.

How long is a Taster session and what’s included?
Taster sessions are 2 hours and are designed to be unrushed and easy to follow. You’ll be guided through wheel throwing or hand building basics (depending on your selection when you book), with all tools and materials taken care of so you can settle in, create confidently and enjoy the fun of making something real.

Is it suitable for beginners or people who feel nervous?
Absolutely. If you’ve ever thought “I’m not creative,” this is where you gently prove yourself wrong. The whole experience stays simple, fun and pressure-free.

How do I book a Taster session?
Sessions run on demand - so simply drop us an email at beldaripottery@gmail.com or give Chris a call on 0448 695 220

Can I take my finished pieces home?
Yes you can, after your pieces are glazed and have received their final firing, which takes 3-4 weeks. We will email you when they’re ready, you’ll pick them up and feel that spark of pride knowing you created something beautiful with your own hands. If you are visiting from out of town, we can post them to you for an additional cost.

Is parking easy?
Yes — parking is easy. We have free on street parking as well as a small carpark at the rear, so you can arrive feeling calm and ready to get creative. Just pull up close to the studio, step inside and slip straight into that fun, confidence-building clay time.
